GOD'S PERFECT PLAN FOR WIVES

“Then the LORD God said, ‘It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.’"

(Genesis 2:18)

Wives, do you ever feel confused as to what your role in marriage should be? Does it seem like there must be something grander and more important you should be doing right now? God made wives to have a specific purpose and as is always the case with God’s plans, when we line up with what He says, our lives become fulfilled, joyful, and peaceful. No matter what other message about our lives fills the media or comes from friends, God’s way consistently through the ages has remained the same and vastly superior to any other ideas.

Tomorrow morning (Thursday, July 18th) we will be meeting at Hannah Clark’s home at 10 to consider God’s intentions for our lives as wives. All women and children are welcome.

IS MY LOVE SACRIFICIAL?

"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.  He who does not love does not know God, for God is love."  1 John 4:7-8Let's think deeply about these two verses that make God's kind of love (agape) in our lives the evidence of whether we belong to Him, or not.  Do we show this sacrificial love to our husband? Our children? Other believers? Those who hate us?  Remember, "it is not a feeling but a determined act of will, which always results in acts of self-giving." John MacArthurConsider this very seriously, because it is not a question to lightly pass by; we will be discussing it on Thursday morning.  See you then!
