Willie Clark
DEACON - VBS, Ushers
Willie was born and raised his first 12 years in southern California. In 1987 when Willie was in the 6th grade his family moved to the Willamette Valley in Oregon. Only through Devine intervention his parents enrolled him into a Christian school and it was there, when he was in his early teens, he repented, put his hope in and trusted Christ as his savior.
Willie met his wife Hannah on eHarmony October 2007 and knew right away that she was the one the Lord had for him. After a short engagement they were married in July 2008. Hannah was married once before but unfortunately the Lord took him home early in their marriage. Although Hannah and her first husband Gabe were married only a short time, they had a little boy together named Gabriel. Willie and Hannah have had 3 other boys together: Billy, Boaz, and Hudson. In 2016 Willie and Hannah added another boy to their family through adoption. Samuel was picked up in Everett, WA September 2016 when he was only 1 day old.
In years past, Willie served as deacon for 2 terms. Willie’s responsibilities were children’s ministries. Those ministries included: Sunday school, Jr. Church, Awana, and VBS (Vacation Bible School). He is excited to see what the Lord has in store, if the membership should allow, for the years ahead.
Hannah currently teaches Jr. church in our first service and is a great support in many other ministries when necessary and is very hospitable when hosting SALT group in the fall, winter and early spring in our home. Willie and Hannah feel very blessed to have the opportunity to serve at Discovery Baptist.
Willie is finishing up his 24th year as a public-school math teacher and he often coaches baseball in the summer months.
