"Behold, children are a gift of the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward." (Ps. 127:3)
Our children are among our greatest treasures, and here at DBC our heart-cry is that we would, by God's grace, inspire these young ones to love the Lord with all their heart, mind, soul and strength. We seek to accomplish this by providing them with an abundance of Biblical teaching, godly role models and teachers, and an atmosphere of genuine love and joy.
Nursery Care
Loving, clean, and safe care is provided in our nursery room for 0-24 months during Sunday Worship and Ladies' Bible Study (on Thursdays during the school year).
Sunday School
Sundays, 10:05-10:45am
Kids of all ages will find a wealth of Bible lessons, verse memorization, friends and caring teachers on Sunday mornings. Let your children connect with the Lord and the church family as they learn to worship and grow in their personal faith! See Sundays for details.
Nursery care available for infants and toddlers.
Junior Church
Sundays (during the sermon in both worship services; ages 5-9 in the 8:45 service, ages 2-9 in the 11:15 service)
Children start out the worship services with their families for a time of music and prayer worship. At the start of the message, they are dismissed to their own, age-appropriate "Junior Church," where they learn to use their Bibles, sit during the Bible lesson, lead in prayer, sing, enjoy crafts, etc. We love the effect this has had on helping children adapt to corporate worship, while also giving parents a chance to soak in the Word for themselves. See Sundays for details.
YOUTH GROUP
Fridays, 6:00-8:00 pm
Come hang out with friends (and make new ones), play team-building (and sometimes comical) games, and most importantly... connect with God as we study His Word together! Oh, and we eat dinner, too, at 6:00. $3 suggested donation.
Awana
Tuesday nights, 6:30-8:00pm (during the school year)
Cubbies (ages 3-4), Sparks (K-2nd grade), T&T (3rd-6th), and Trek (7th-9th) are packed with faith-building experiences run by godly leaders. Club materials are filled with verses from the Bible and guidelines to help kids learn how to apply God's Word to their life. Awana teaches kids that God is real, that He loves them, and that He has expressed that love through Jesus Christ. A typical evening includes a Bible verse memorization time, a fun game time, and a time of learning about God in the large group assembly.
Cost: There are no required dues, but the cost of student books will be communicated to parents. Donations are gratefully accepted. Optional uniforms are available for purchase.
See our app for details/registration during the school year.
